Play Love Laugh Review

Standard

Today I have something different for you. I was sent product from Play Love Laugh, a vegetable and fruit based peel off nail polish for kids. Unlike regular polish, it peels off after soaking it in warm water. This is exciting for me since my 6 year old daughter like to have her hands in her mouth all the time. I was sent two colors for review, Really Teally Fun and Sweet Purple. I included my daughter in this review since hey, it is for kids! Up first is Sweet Purple.

image

image

As you can see it’s a very pretty purple with shimmer. I did my nails normally to see how it would work for me as an adult, meaning, I used my normal POBC, and topcoat. The only thing with this is because it isn’t normal nail polish clean up with acetone didn’t quite work well. Any big clean up spots I found I could peel off and then get the finer pieces with my acetone brush.

Due to the nature of the product there was dried polish in the top of the bottle and it ended up having just a few chunky bits in it, but nothing overwhelming. The polish dries super fast with no smell at all, opaque in 2-3 coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Play Laugh Love Sweet Purple, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

My daughter’s blogging premiere! She was way to excited to be working with Mommy on her blog. With her application I just put the nail polish on, no topcoat, since that kind of defeats the purpose. As you can see it’s still sparkly just with not as much of a gloss finish. I’ll post an update on my Instagram on how it held up on her, but she does chew her fingers and is rough on polish, since she is 6. She liked it a lot because it dried so quickly. Dry time is always an issue with her since she wants to get up and go, but it wasn’t nearly as bad with this polish. Opacity with this one was two coats.

Products used: Play Laugh Love Really Teally Fun

Here we are together, my favorite shot of the entire review! In the end, I think this polish is an amazing product for someone looking for a natural polish, or kids. I will absolutely use this on my daughter again, me, probably not. Not that the product is bad, at all, I just didn’t like clean up for myself, but I hope to pick up more colors for my daughter in the future and phase out her normal polish. Ruby White Tips: Batworld.org Release

Standard

I have three new releases from Ruby White Tips Batworld.org series. If you’re new to this brand, she has a line of polishes that benefit the bats housed and cared for at Bat World Sanctuary. These release today! First up I have Sticky.

image

Sticky is a flakie topper, I used it over black and a dark purple, I’m going to use it over a lighter color in the future and post it on Instagram.

image

image

It’s kind of an orange, copper, pink color depending on what angle you look at it. As with all Ruby White Tips application was great and dry time was excellent.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Zoya Lael, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have another glitter topper, this time red, named Bootsanna.

image

image

image

image

As you can see there are also some silver holo glitters amoung the red. The accent nail is twocoats, while the rest are one. Great formula, with great dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Kleptomaniac, Ruby White Tips Bootsanna,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Last but not least is Mildred, a beautiful blue that can be used as a topper, but very easily obtains opacity in two to three coats.

image

I would say this is a very glitter packed jelly, that went on like a dream. As with the other two polishes, great dry time, excellent formula and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Mildred, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my top brands because of the consistent quality and beauty Laura puts in to every bottle. All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Simply Beautiful: Mistletoe Juice & Lilly Review

Standard

Today I have two polishes from a new to me brand, Simply Beautiful. I’ve been eying her beautiful polishes for a while and was happy to receive a surprise press sample in the mail.  First up I have Mistletoe Juice,  which is currently being reformulated and brought back out.

image

It’s a beautiful red glitter with holo. You can use it as a topper, or reach opacity with some good layering. It took me 4 coats to reach opacity, but, I’m certain someone with a little more experience would get it in less.

image

image

image

It’s absolutely beautiful.  I didn’t have any drying problems, even with a lot of coats. Clean up was very easy, especially for a polish with fine glitter.  A lot of times I have issues with the glitter not wanting to let go of my skin, but didn’t have that issue at all with this one. Even though this is named Mistletoe Juice I did a little Valentineish stamping on top.

image

I did it very light to not take away from the glory of the dazzling glitter, I really like how it turned out.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Mistletoe Juice,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have Lilly, apart of the Friends & Family collection that’s being added to.

image

This just jumps off the nail and practically glows. I wore it out and got several compliments on it. It’s definitely a beautiful shade of blue. I did have some dragging with the polish, it felt a little thick, but it wasn’t so horrible that I couldn’t even it out. Once I put top coat on you couldn’t even tell.  The color is definitely worth any slight formula issues in my opinion. This is two coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Lilly, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall I say that this indie is a win, and if you haven’t tried her products you should! All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

MTL Creations: Fall Collection Review

Standard

I got to swatch for MTL Creations recently, for her new Fall Collection, and I’m so excited to show you guys these!  This is a new brand to me, even though I’ve been watching her Instagram since I saw her True Blood inspired collection. She’s an absolute sweetheart, too!  On to the collection!

image

I love all of the colors in this collection.  I’m picky on reds, but I still love Apple Crush

image

image

It’s a gorgeous soft red holo polish.  It’s different than other reds I’ve seen and I really like it!

The next one is Foresta Lumina, look it up on Google to see its inpiration!

image

image

This is a beautiful forest green holo.  Once again,  a unique shade, and very pretty.   I added a fairy stamp because the name and inspiration felt very whimsical to me.

The next one I have for you is Once In a Blue Moon, a beautiful deep blue holo.

image

image

This is the one I still have on writing this post.  It’s beautiful and it hasn’t chipped even a little.  I used a sheer white color to stamp a moon and stars to get a silvery sheer look.

Last, but surely not least is Star Dust, a gold fine glitter topper.

image

image

I used it over Zoya Josie, and used two thin coats of the glitter.  Each application had plenty of glitter, with no digging.

All the polishes from this collection applied well, and had excellent dry time. I did three coats of each of the colors, and two of the glitter,  as stated.

Products used: Duri Revacote,  Orly Bonder basecoat,  polish shown, I,A.M. CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

All links to the store are below.  Definitely take a look at all her other beautiful polishes and her crocheted creations.  As always, thanks for reading! ^_^

My Kinda Color: Three Polish Review

Standard

I received three polishes from Nail Polish Rack Factory’s brand new line of polishes, My Kinda Color.  I loved them all just from the pictures, so I was excited to try them.  Patty, the owner, charges a rock bottom price of $5 a bottle also, which is a great price point for an indie brand.  On to the holo filled goodness!

Up first I have Diva, a beautiful shade of purple,  with holo glitter throughout the polish.

image

image

Diva has an awesome formula that was opaque in two coats.  It’s super blingy with all the holo glitter.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Diva, ellagee Glass topcoat.

The second one I received is Gold & Diamonds.  I’m not a gold person usually, but I love this shade and how it looks.

image

image

Gold & Diamonds had the same consistency as Diva and was opaque in two coats as well.  Again, gorgeous.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  My Kinda Color Gold & Diamonds, ellagee Glass topcoat.

The third and final polish is Emily.  I picked this one because it reminds me of my birthstone, I’m a December baby!

image

image

Again, consistent formula, with two coat opacity.  This is now my favorite blue I own, it’s absolutely beautiful.  I also did something fun with this polish, check it out here.

Products used: Dainty Digits Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  My Kinda Color Emily, Duri Revacote,  I,A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is definitely a brand to watch out for, her formula and consistency in each polish is awesome,  plus great colors.  All information for the store is below, and while you’re there check out her nail polish racks too, they are great!

Smokey Mountain Lacquers: Twilight Adventure Review

Standard

Today I have Smokey Mountain Lacquers new fall polish Twilight Adventure up for review.  This is my first polish from her and I was excited to try it.

image

Twilight Adventure is an ultra chrome that shifts between purple, blue, and green.  It was hard to capture all the beautiful shifts in the polish.  I was unable to get a sun picture since the outdoors weren’t cooperating, but if I catch it when I’m outside I will post it to my Instagram.   Here are a few shots of it at different angles.

image

image

image

I did three thin layers of the polish and I believe it would of looked a bit better with four.  Here is a macro with LED light to show more shift.

image

You can definitely see the blue more in this photo.  Dry time did take a smidge longer, but it wasn’t horrible.  The polish wasn’t thick at all and applied well.  Overall I really liked this polish and plan on purchasing more.

Products used: Duri Revacote,  Orly Bonder,  Smokey Mountain Lacquers’ Twilight Adventure,  ellagee Glass Topcoat.
