Ruby White Tips: Forever 27 Collection Part 1 Review

Standard

I have a few of the polishes coming out from Ruby White Tips on January 6 9 for review today.  I’m rather excited for the theme of this collection.  The collection is called Forever 27 and is based on all the musicians we’ve tragically lost at the age of 27.  All names are first name only, so you may need a little bit of knowledge to know who each one is. 😉 Today I have Jimi, a beautiful silvery polish with iridescent glitters and shifts of blue and pinky purple, and Kurt a deep rich brown scattered holo.   Up first is Jimi!

It was hard to capture all the shifty goodness in the polish and is even more beautiful in person.  It is slightly textured and matte, but if you’d rather the glossy look, it’s still gorgeous!  All these photos are matte, without topcoat. Polish went on smoothly and had excellent dry time.  I left it on for a few days and didn’t have much chipping if any!  I did three coats of the polish.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Ruby White Tips Jimi, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I did the macro with LED so you could see some of the scattered holo.  This is an absolutely beautiful brown polish, nice and dark and rich. I could of gotten away with one coat with it being so opaque,  but I did two just to make sure.  Polish went on well, with great dry time, as with all Ruby White Tip polish.

Products used: Duri Rejuvacote,  Orly Bonder basecoat,  Ruby White Tips Kurt, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my all time favorite brands with a very awesome theme, you should check out her links below for more information about the upcoming launch, there should be at least four more colors in this collection!  All links are below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

I, A.M CustomColor: Space Madness Review

Standard

Yay!  First post of 2015! Today I have a soon to be released polish, January 5 to be exact,  from one my of favorite indies, I, A.M CustomColor.  This is Space Madness, from her Ren and Stimpy Collection.   There are so many beautiful colors in this collection,  so please check out her social media to see swatches from other talented bloggers.

image

Space Madness is a deep blue jelly with glitter, it looks darker in the bottle than on the nail.

image

image

As you can see, it is not nearly as dark on the nail, with no staining I might add, with lots of little sparkly goodness. As with almost all of her polishes, was a dream to put on, and dried nicely.  If you haven’t tried her topcoat yet, I highly recommend it.  I’ve been through several topcoats now that got goopy half way through the bottle and her’s is still going strong. Plus it’s shiny as all heck!  I also did something fun with the polish.

image

I’m still learning in the nail art department,  but I tried doing a tiny nebula on my accent nail for fun!

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  I, A.M CustomColor Space Madness, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Polish was great, which is what I’ve come to expect from her.  Cleanup was also a breeze, which I don’t always expect from dark polishes like this. Please visit her sites below to see other swatches,  and as always, thanks for reading!  ^_^

Regal Ween Lacquer: New Duos Review

Standard

Today I have a new pair of duos coming out tomorrow, 11/16, at 12 EST from one of my favorite brands, Regal Ween Lacquer.  In my opinion, everyone needs these duos in their life, they’re gorgeous!

First we have the Birthday Duo, to celebrate the owner’s husband’s 30th Birthday, on November 30!

image

This duo consists of Bling, Bling, a beautiful delicate gold holo, and 30 On The 30th, a ultra packed golden glitter topper.

image

image

Both are beautiful, and the glitter compliments it perfectly!

image

image

The first macro is with one coat of 30 On The 30th,  and the second is with three.  Even with all those coats, it still dries down and isn’t thick at all.  Bling. Bling is opaque in two coats and has easy application.   Dry time is good, with no smudges.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Bling, Bling, 30 On The 30th, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Next up I have the House Stark Duo, inspired by the Stark family from Game of Thrones.

image

This duo consists of The North Remmebers, a soft icy blue holo, and Winter Is Coming, a fantastic silver and iridescent glitter topper.

image

image

Once again, both beautiful and the glitter goes with it perfectly.

image

image

First macro is one coat of Winter Is Coming, second is three coats.  Again, dried down and wasn’t thick at all even with three coats.  It was very hard to capture all the shifty goodness in the glitter, and I will more than likely post a video tomorrow on my Instagram.  The North Remembers is opaque in two coats, great consistency,  and easy to work with.  Dry time was also great.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, The North Remembers, Winter Is Coming, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

These duos are both perfect and each one has something everyone can love.  All information for the shop is below, and as always, thanks for reading!  ^_^

Fangirl Polish: War of Conquest & The Long Night Review

Standard

Today I have another new brand, Fangirl Polish, for your viewing pleasure.  Her first collection is based on the Game of Thrones book/tv series.  I’m covering two of the colors in this review and will have the rest coming in the next few weeks.  War of Conquest is a beautiful red polish with tons of sparkle.  It’s theme is the Targaryen family and their war in Westeros.

image

The Long Night is a dark gray with silver sparkle, based on a winter, before the Targaryen war, that lasted an entire generation.

image

Both polishes are beautiful and applied evenly and well.  I used three thin coats of each color, but you totally could of went with two.

image

image

image

image

I also decided to do something fun with this polish, and did what I like to call a nerdicure!  All plates used are from Bundle Monster.

image

I really love this up and coming brand, and the owner, Jessica, is a total sweetheart!  She is constantly having sales, just make sure you follow her Instagram for all updates!

Products used: Duri Revacote, Orly Bonder basecoat,  Fangirl Polish War of Conquest & The Long Night,  I, A.M. CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Proper Polish: Raspberry Scented Polish Review

Standard

I had purchased this a while back, but suddenly got some polishes with swatch due dates so I to put this one on the back burner.  I’m so happy I finally got to it!  This is Raspberry from Proper Polish.  It’s an awesome pink/purple jelly that’s super packed with varying pink and purple glitters.  What’s even cooler is it smells like raspberries when dry!

image

image

I was a little hesitant to try scented polish at first since I have sensitivities to a lot of smells, but this is perfect.  Without topcoat it is a stronger smell, but you can totally still smell it with topcoat,  and neither are overpowering.   I’m unsure why the jelly looks brown in the bottle, as you will see below, it really isn’t that shade at all.

image

image

image

I used two coats for this look, but you could use one or even three, depending on what you’re going for.  The formula is on the thick side, but was still easy to work with.  I can’t stop moving my hands around watching all the wonderful glitter sparkle.

Products used: Duri Revacote, Orly Bonder basecoat,  Proper Polish Raspberry,  I,A.M. CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

All information for the shop is below, and as always, thanks for reading!  ^_^

Forever Polished: Dragon Party Review

Standard

I recently was a lucky winner in an Instagram contest and won a gift certificate to Forever Polished and Dragon Party was one of the polishes I picked.  Now, to anyone that knows me, purple is my absolute favorite color, so Dragon Party was a no brainer.  It is a dark squishy jelly with black and iridescent glitters in a bunch of different shapes.

image

Shipping was very fast, and I wasn’t disappointed when I opened the package.  It dries to a matte finish, but looks fantastic with topcoat as well.

image

For all the glitter, it dries rather smooth, which is nice if you chose to wear it like this.

image

image

image

I took pictures in all kinds of light because this polish looks different depending on what type of light it’s under.   You will see below in the macro how it looks a different shade in that light as well.

image

I did two coats for opacity.  The formula was a little thicker, but, not hard to work with at all.  Again, I’m impressed how smooth it is without topcoat.  Dry time was very fast and I had no smudging issues.  I actually hit my one nail with my orange stick and I just patted it down and it looked like nothing had ever happened.

Products used: Duri Revacote,  Orly Bonder, Forever Polished Dragon Party, ellagee Glass topcoat.

All contact information for  Forever Polished below.  She has a lot of very beautiful shades, and polishes that look different than other ones I’ve seen.   As always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Dollish Polish: Look At The Flowers Lizzie Review

Standard

This Wednesday review I did something more simple since I’ve been pretty sick all week, but still wanted to get something up for you guys!  I chose Dollish Polish, Look At The Flowers Lizzie.  This is available as a mini, which is in the last link, or full size here.  I will be linking to the mini through the post, since that’s what I bought. ^_^

WARNING: If you haven’t seen the forth season of The Walking Dead,  this post contains spoilers (totally said in a River Song voice).  So read no further and to see just swatches go to my instagram here.  Remember,  SPOILERS, I warned you!!

This is a colab between Dollish Polish and Accio Lacquer for the first Fandom Collection.  The second collection has been released, and both are definitely worth checking out!

image

The minis are 9 mL, which is nice since most minis are 5 mL, that’s almost twice the amount for about the same price of $5.00.  This polish was inspired by one of the most dramatic, gut wrenching scenes in the fourth season of The Walking Dead, when Lizzie was told to look at the flowers before her crazy little butt was taken out by Carol.  As a huge Walking Dead fan, I had to get it as soon as I saw it, it’s so messed up that a child had to die, but it really shows how cruel that world can be.

There is so much glitter in this polish, with absolutely no fishing at all.  I did let it sit upside down overnight, like I usually do, and gave it a good shake before I used it.  It is so packed with glitter I doubt there would be many fishing issues either way.

image

image

The formula is amazing in this polish, I couldn’t believe how well it applied and how fast it dried.   I used four very thin coats to reach this opacity.  It’s very sheer with one coat, so it could definitely be used as a topper as well.  I also used Glitter Be Gone peel off basecoat from Dainty Digits Polish.  I will be posting a review of that later this week.

image

Products used: Dainty Digit Polish Glitter Be Gone Basecoat,  Dollish Polish Look At The Flowers Lizzie,  Duri Revacote,  ellagee Glass Topcoat.

I really love this polish and can’t wait to try out my other purchases from Dollish Polish.  Definitely check out her main page here and her retired/clearance page on etsy here, which has restocks once a week, and rotating stock.  As always, thanks for reading!  ^_^
