Regal Ween Lacquer: Middle Earth Part 1

Standard

Today I have the recently released Middle Earth Part 1 set from Regal Ween Lacquer. This is a five part set that is inspired by different locations from the Lord of the Rings world. I did stamping inspired by each theme of the polish too! Up first is Minas Tirith.

image

Minas Tirith is a metallic white inspired by the capitol city of Gondor of the same name. It has a subtle shift of color blue, purple, goldĀ  or cyan with some scattered holo in the mix.

image

I did brickwork and a castle for the great fort of Minas Tirith. This polish is beautiful. The formula was great, two to three coats for opacity. Dry time was also in par with her other polishes.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Minas Tirith, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Zoya Ling used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and Hehe plate 026.

image

Rohan is inspired by the golden grasses of the fields of this city. It is a golden brown creme with gold holo dust. This also can used for stamping, which you will see later.

image

image

image

image

This beautiful, unique, polish is great, two coats for opacity, great formula and dry time. Clean up was easy as well.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rohan, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Ruby White Tips Kurt used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and BM-615.

image

This is The Shire, a vibrant green inspired by Frodo’s home. A shimmering green that can flash gold or purple.

image

image

image

image

I used Rohan for stamping here. I wanted a subtle tree look, but not to overpower the green and it was perfect for the job. It was opaque in two coats, and I feel this one is a stunner. Dry time was great, same with the formula.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer The Shire, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Rohan used for stamping with Moyou London Mother Nature Plate 01.

image

This is Mount Doom, inspired by the burning fires of the mountain and the cold metal armor of Sauron’s army. It is a blacked base with red and purple tones and a chameleon shift and scattered holo.

image

image

image

image

This has a lot of depth to it, it like a little mystery in a bottle. I really love this one a lot. Opaque in two coats and great formula and dry time with no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Mount Doom, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Sinful Colors Gold Medal used for stamping with Moyou London Geek 05.

image

Rivendell is inspired by the beauty of the elven city it is named after. It has green, mint, gold, holo white, iridescent and brown glitters, as well as multicolored illusion flakes in a clear base. It can be used as a topper or layered to opacity.

image

image

image

I did one to two coats on each color from the collection. Regal Ween Lacquer has some of the best glitter toppers on the market, they are packed and you don’t have to fish for anything. Formula is great, fast dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rivendell, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

It’s no secret that Regal Ween Lacquer is one of my favorite brands, and they didn’t disappoint with this new collection. Even though I only stamped with one of the colors, I’m sure all of them will stamp. I’ve used some of her other colors from previous collections for stamping so it’s safe to say any non glitter polish will stamp from them. Jior Couture Press Package

Standard

I recently recieved a press package from Jior Couture with three polishes for swatch/review. Jior Couture is a new to me brand so I was excited to try them out. I was sent This Is So Tinsel, January 2015 and February 2015. With no further ado, let’s get to it!

image

First up is This Is So Tinsel, a gray crelly with blue, orange, gold and turquoise glitter. This is apart of their 2014 Holiday Collection and was inspired by the short film Prep and Landing.

image

image

image

As you can see, there are plenty of glitters in this one. I used three coats for opacity, but you could totally use one coat as a topper. Formula was awesome with no fishing and dried relatively quickly.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture This Is So Tinsel, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Up next is January 2015, their color of the month from January of course. It’s a dark salmon color with gold flakes.

image

image

image

The gold flakes are very subtle on the nail, but still beautiful. I used two coats for opacity. Formula was a breeze to work with and dry time was good.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture January 2015, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, and my favorite out of the three, is February 2015. This is a holo glitter packed pink perfection. The glitters kind of hide but when they show it gives the polish a whole other dimension.

image

image

image

As you can see, this one is an absolutely beauty. I did three coats for opacity, formula was great with good dry time. This is a great addition to any pink lovers collection.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture February 2015, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall, the polishes I was sent were great. None of them were hard to clean up or had any smudging problems. I’m excited to see more of their upcoming Spring Collection, it looks to die for! All info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Liquid Sky Lacquer

Standard

I have seven polishes that I was sent for review by Liquid Sky Lacquer, a new to me brand. Most of these have been out, but I also have the brand new limited edition, Pinch Proof, a St Paddy’s Day polish. This is a very picture heavy post with all the polishes, but definitely worth it.

image

Pinch Proof is a beautiful green polish with extreme holo and multiple sized glitters.

image

image

image

A very beautiful polish, that has an amazing formula and excellent dry time. Definitely a perfect St Paddy’s polish, I did three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Pinch Proof, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Black Magic Leprechaun is a black jelly with green shimmer and large clover glitters.

image

image

image

The clovers weren’t as hard as some other polishes I’ve used with large glitters, but letting the polish sit upside down before application is definitely helpful. The polish felt a bit thicker on this one, but nothing bad. Dry time was pretty good, I did 3-4 coats on each nail.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Black Magic Leprechaun, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Wink ^.~ is an extreme bluish green holo and very beautiful.

image

image

image

This polish is absolutely gorgeous. It has a slight shift to it among the holo. Formula was great, excellent dry time and opaque in three coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Wink ^.~, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Black Opal is another extreme holo. This one is black with a strong purple shift, which was hard to capture on camera. This one definitely has more dimensions in person.

image

image

image

The dry time was excellent, formula was great and I did three coats for opacity. I probably could of left it at two, but I wanted to be extra safe.

Products used: Qtica Nail Growth, Orly Bonder basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Black Opal, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

King’s Cake is another limited edition. This one is a deep purple jelly with green, gold and purple holographic glitters of different shapes throughout.

image

image

image

This one has a lot of glitter in it, which made the formula feel thicker. It was almost like working with a glitterbomb. Dry time was really good, and I did three coats for opacity. This one would be great used as a topper to, I used it on its own.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer King’s Cake, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Atlantis is a deep blue jelly with neon yellow, pink, orange and purple glitters and a smidge of holo dust.

image

image

image

I love the uniqueness of this polish. It really is different than anything I’ve seen. As with all the others, dry time was good, great formula, and three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Atlantis, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, but definitely not least, is Bird Of Paradise, a multichrome colorshift polish. It has blue, copper, orange, purple and a few other colors in it.

image

image

image

image

I tried to capture the shifty nature of the polish, and really like how it came out. Great formula and dry time with three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Bird Of Paradise, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I love all of her polishes overall, and they would be a welcomed addition to anyone’s collection. I also love her labels, they made it super easy for swatching and naming all the pictures. All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Fangirl Polish: Mad Love Duo

Standard

I’m a HUGE Harley Quinn and Joker fan, so when Jessica of Fangirl Polish came out with the Mad Love Duo, I had to have it. It was released for Valentine’s, but they are such a classic pair that I feel they’re good all year long. Up first, Puddin’, the Joker inspired part of the duo.

image

Puddin’ is a white crelly with purple and green glitters throughout. I’m a huge purple and green fan to begin with, but it being Joker inspired makes it that much better.

image

image

image

She really chose the perfect shades of purple and green for him as well. The formula was excellent, went on like a dream, and dried super fast, as most of her polishes do. The polish was opaque in two coats, but I put on a third to add just a hint more glitter.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Puddin’, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next we have HARRLEEY! the Harley Quinn part of the duo. If you’ve ever watched Batman The Animated Series, you’ll hear that in the Joker’s voice right away.

image

HARRLEEY! is a beautiful red crelly with black and white hexes and black diamond glitters. This is the best Harley inspired polish I’ve ever seen, hands down. I felt like walking around calling my husband Mistah J, and had a strange need for a giant hammer while wearing it. This is going in my core I love group for sure.

image

image

image

I adore this polish, so much. I did have to fish for the diamonds just a bit, but nothing outrageous. The formula was creamy and dreamy, and went on perfectly. Dry time was excellent, and it was opaque in two coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish HARRLEEY!, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my favorite purchases lately and I have some fun ideas for these two in the near future. Keep an eye on my Instagram for those. All links to the store are below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^
