Liquid Sky Lacquer: Release Preview

Standard

Today I have the beautiful new set from Liquid Sky Lacquer, What Happens In Vegas Ends Up On Instagram and the single release Yasss! They are releasing this Saturday, April 18 at 2 pm est. All polishes were a dream to apply and opaque in 2-3 coats. All but Yasss! dried incredibly fast, but it was more of a normal dry time than slow.

First up is the strip, a black jelly with blue glitter.

This beauty is Where’s My Cabana Boy?, a black jelly with purple and red glitters. In certain light, as you can see, the jelly looks almost burgandy.

Regal Ween Lacquer: Middle Earth Part 1

Standard

Today I have the recently released Middle Earth Part 1 set from Regal Ween Lacquer. This is a five part set that is inspired by different locations from the Lord of the Rings world. I did stamping inspired by each theme of the polish too! Up first is Minas Tirith.

image

Minas Tirith is a metallic white inspired by the capitol city of Gondor of the same name. It has a subtle shift of color blue, purple, gold  or cyan with some scattered holo in the mix.

image

image

image

image

I did brickwork and a castle for the great fort of Minas Tirith. This polish is beautiful. The formula was great, two to three coats for opacity. Dry time was also in par with her other polishes.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Minas Tirith, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Zoya Ling used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and Hehe plate 026.

image

Rohan is inspired by the golden grasses of the fields of this city. It is a golden brown creme with gold holo dust. This also can used for stamping, which you will see later.

image

image

image

image

This beautiful, unique, polish is great, two coats for opacity, great formula and dry time. Clean up was easy as well.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rohan, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Ruby White Tips Kurt used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and BM-615.

image

This is The Shire, a vibrant green inspired by Frodo’s home. A shimmering green that can flash gold or purple.

image

image

image

image

I used Rohan for stamping here. I wanted a subtle tree look, but not to overpower the green and it was perfect for the job. It was opaque in two coats, and I feel this one is a stunner. Dry time was great, same with the formula.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer The Shire, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Rohan used for stamping with Moyou London Mother Nature Plate 01.

image

This is Mount Doom, inspired by the burning fires of the mountain and the cold metal armor of Sauron’s army. It is a blacked base with red and purple tones and a chameleon shift and scattered holo.

image

image

image

image

This has a lot of depth to it, it like a little mystery in a bottle. I really love this one a lot. Opaque in two coats and great formula and dry time with no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Mount Doom, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Sinful Colors Gold Medal used for stamping with Moyou London Geek 05.

image

Rivendell is inspired by the beauty of the elven city it is named after. It has green, mint, gold, holo white, iridescent and brown glitters, as well as multicolored illusion flakes in a clear base. It can be used as a topper or layered to opacity.

image

image

image

I did one to two coats on each color from the collection. Regal Ween Lacquer has some of the best glitter toppers on the market, they are packed and you don’t have to fish for anything. Formula is great, fast dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rivendell, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

It’s no secret that Regal Ween Lacquer is one of my favorite brands, and they didn’t disappoint with this new collection. Even though I only stamped with one of the colors, I’m sure all of them will stamp. I’ve used some of her other colors from previous collections for stamping so it’s safe to say any non glitter polish will stamp from them. Fangirl Polish: Mad Love Duo

Standard

I’m a HUGE Harley Quinn and Joker fan, so when Jessica of Fangirl Polish came out with the Mad Love Duo, I had to have it. It was released for Valentine’s, but they are such a classic pair that I feel they’re good all year long. Up first, Puddin’, the Joker inspired part of the duo.

image

Puddin’ is a white crelly with purple and green glitters throughout. I’m a huge purple and green fan to begin with, but it being Joker inspired makes it that much better.

image

image

image

She really chose the perfect shades of purple and green for him as well. The formula was excellent, went on like a dream, and dried super fast, as most of her polishes do. The polish was opaque in two coats, but I put on a third to add just a hint more glitter.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Puddin’, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next we have HARRLEEY! the Harley Quinn part of the duo. If you’ve ever watched Batman The Animated Series, you’ll hear that in the Joker’s voice right away.

image

HARRLEEY! is a beautiful red crelly with black and white hexes and black diamond glitters. This is the best Harley inspired polish I’ve ever seen, hands down. I felt like walking around calling my husband Mistah J, and had a strange need for a giant hammer while wearing it. This is going in my core I love group for sure.

image

image

image

I adore this polish, so much. I did have to fish for the diamonds just a bit, but nothing outrageous. The formula was creamy and dreamy, and went on perfectly. Dry time was excellent, and it was opaque in two coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish HARRLEEY!, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my favorite purchases lately and I have some fun ideas for these two in the near future. Keep an eye on my Instagram for those. All links to the store are below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

My Kinda Color: New Sparkly Collection

Standard

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen my posts about how my whole family got super sick. We’re on the mend, and I figured I’d get a post done! Today I have the new Sparkly Collection from My Kinda Color, one of which was named after me! They are all glitter bombs that have a colored glitter and holo glitter. They’re all magnificent as well. On to the swatches!

image

This is Jessica, a blue and holo glitter bomb. It can be used as a topper or opaque at three coats.

image

image

image

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Jessica, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Sassy, a purple and holo glitter bomb, opacity at three coats.

image

image

image

As you can see, Sassy has a larger glitter than Jessica, so it changes the way the color lays, just a little bit.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Sassy, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Flirty, a pink/fuchsia and holo glitter bomb, opacity in three coats.

image

image

image

Flirty has the largest glitter out of the bunch, but I really liked how they weren’t all the same.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Flirty, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, but not least, this is Morgan, the one named after me! Green is one of my favorite colors, so I was honored when Patty asked if she could use my name for it.

image

image

image

Morgan has a finer glitter just like Jessica, but with both you can see the holo along with the colors.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Morgan, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I loved all of the colors and polishes in this collection. They had awesome dry times and no smudging at all. If you haven’t checked this brand out yet, you really should. All her polishes are only $5 with very reasonable shipping. All info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Ruby White Tips: Batworld.org Release

Standard

I have three new releases from Ruby White Tips Batworld.org series. If you’re new to this brand, she has a line of polishes that benefit the bats housed and cared for at Bat World Sanctuary. These release today! First up I have Sticky.

image

Sticky is a flakie topper, I used it over black and a dark purple, I’m going to use it over a lighter color in the future and post it on Instagram.

image

image

It’s kind of an orange, copper, pink color depending on what angle you look at it. As with all Ruby White Tips application was great and dry time was excellent.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Zoya Lael, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have another glitter topper, this time red, named Bootsanna.

image

image

image

image

As you can see there are also some silver holo glitters amoung the red. The accent nail is twocoats, while the rest are one. Great formula, with great dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Kleptomaniac, Ruby White Tips Bootsanna,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Last but not least is Mildred, a beautiful blue that can be used as a topper, but very easily obtains opacity in two to three coats.

image

image

image

image

I would say this is a very glitter packed jelly, that went on like a dream. As with the other two polishes, great dry time, excellent formula and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Mildred, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my top brands because of the consistent quality and beauty Laura puts in to every bottle. All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Chick Pick Polish: Sterling Silver Topper Review

Standard

Kari over at Chick Pick Polish was kind enough to gift me a polish of my choice because of being nice on my reposts for her giveaway on Instagram. I was surprised, since I do this with any of the giveaways I enter, but I definitely appreciated the kindness. I ended up picking her Sterling Silver Topper since it caught my eye.

image

It’s a beautiful topper with sterling silver flakies, I haven’t seen any other toppers like this either. She also has it available in gold.

image

image

image

It has plenty of flakies in it and I got this type of coverage in one go. I felt like I had little tiny mirror on my nails and couldn’t stop staring at them. Dry time was excellent, with no smudging at all. I can’t wait to try some of her regular polish now that I’ve used this. I have a feeling this is going to be a staple product for me.

Products used: Qtica Nail Growth, Orly Bonder basecoat, Dollish Polish Dark Defender, Chick Pick Polish Sterling Silver Topper, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Chirality: Distant Lands Review

Standard

It’s been a while since I did a polish from Chirality, which is a shame because it is one of my favorite indies. I decided to do another one from the mc Chris For The Win collection, Distant Lands to be specific. This polish is a greenish teal crelly with black, purple and holographic glitters.

image

As you can see, it’s beautiful in the bottle, and not a lot of sinking of the large glitters either.

image

image

image

Absolutely no fishing with this polish, which was a big surprise with those big circle glitters. As you can see there are all kinds of different sizes and colors of glitter in there. The dry time was excellent, and the formula is good, but as with most polishes with large glitters you need a few coats of top coat to smooth it out. I did two coats of Distant Lands to reach opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Chirality Distant Lands,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I, A.M CustomColor: Jan & Feb Duos Review

Standard

I, A.M CustomColor has two new duos releasing January 30 and I have them both for you today! There will be lotion bars also available and the sets will be $20 for all three items. First up is January’s duo of Prima Assoluta and The Rain.

image

Prima Assoluta is for Ashlie’s favorite ballerina Alessandra Ferri, who is a Prima Ballerina Assoluta,  the highest rank a ballerina can be, only 12 since 1894. Prima Assoluta is a pink jelly with holo glitter and micro rainbow flakies.

image

image

image

This polish is absolutely beautiful, and a great shade of pink. It’s very delicate, but still packs a glitter filled punch. I did three coats, and dry time was excellent with no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  I, A.M CustomColor Prima Assoluta,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

The Rain is for her one of her favorite songs, Rain by Calvin Harris. It’s a dark green to blue/green thermal with UCC flakies.

Cold:

image

Warm:

image

image

Transition:

image

And here is both states just to show a side by side comparison.

image

The more you look at The Rain the more beauty you can find in it, which us kind of poetic. It’s beautiful in both states and the UCC flakies go perfectly with it. Three coats were used, with normal dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Qtica Nail Growth, Orly Bonder basecoat,  I, A.M CustomColor The Rain, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Now to February’s duo, which consists of Mischa B and You’ll Find A Way Remix.

image

Mischa B is for Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of the most inspirational male dancers of the last century. He was always told he was too short and too stout, yet proved everyone wrong. The polish is a vivid red jelly holo.

image

image

image

The macro has LED lighting to show the scattered holo in Mischa B. I used three coats and had the same dry time as the other polishes, and of course no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  I, A.M CustomColor Mischa B, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

You’ll Find A Way Remix is for a remix of the song You’ll Find A Way by Santigold.  The polish is a dark grey crelly with purple shimmer and teal and purple glitters.

image

image

image

image

The last macro is with LED again, to show shimmer and detail. I used three coats with this one as well.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  I, A.M CustomColor You’ll Find A Way Remix,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall all four polishes had excellent dry time,  no smudging and the formula was great and very easy to work with. It’s hard to pick a favorite, since I love all four for different reasons. I’d say you should consider getting all four to see which one is your favorite!  All contact info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Lacquer by Lissa: Nail Vinyl Review

Today I have a quick post about some more vinyl decals from Lacquer by Lissa. I’ve done a few other reviews on her products, check my nail reviews for more!  I have three adorable decal sets this time around,  let’s get to it!

These adorable little cupcakes were super easy to use and even with the thin part on the open cupcake I didn’t have any rips or issues.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone,  Ruby White Tips Bay Breeze, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

I did some fancy stamping and gems along with her awesome Eiffel Tower decal. I’m still getting use to stamping, so I’m going to retry this mani down the road when I’m better at it.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Ruby White Tips Elise’s Pink Hair, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Simply Beautiful: Mistletoe Juice & Lilly Review

Standard

Today I have two polishes from a new to me brand, Simply Beautiful. I’ve been eying her beautiful polishes for a while and was happy to receive a surprise press sample in the mail.  First up I have Mistletoe Juice,  which is currently being reformulated and brought back out.

image

It’s a beautiful red glitter with holo. You can use it as a topper, or reach opacity with some good layering. It took me 4 coats to reach opacity, but, I’m certain someone with a little more experience would get it in less.

image

image

image

It’s absolutely beautiful.  I didn’t have any drying problems, even with a lot of coats. Clean up was very easy, especially for a polish with fine glitter.  A lot of times I have issues with the glitter not wanting to let go of my skin, but didn’t have that issue at all with this one. Even though this is named Mistletoe Juice I did a little Valentineish stamping on top.

image

I did it very light to not take away from the glory of the dazzling glitter, I really like how it turned out.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Mistletoe Juice,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have Lilly, apart of the Friends & Family collection that’s being added to.

image

image

image

This just jumps off the nail and practically glows. I wore it out and got several compliments on it. It’s definitely a beautiful shade of blue. I did have some dragging with the polish, it felt a little thick, but it wasn’t so horrible that I couldn’t even it out. Once I put top coat on you couldn’t even tell.  The color is definitely worth any slight formula issues in my opinion. This is two coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Lilly, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall I say that this indie is a win, and if you haven’t tried her products you should! All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^
