Play Love Laugh Review

Standard

Today I have something different for you. I was sent product from Play Love Laugh, a vegetable and fruit based peel off nail polish for kids. Unlike regular polish, it peels off after soaking it in warm water. This is exciting for me since my 6 year old daughter like to have her hands in her mouth all the time. I was sent two colors for review, Really Teally Fun and Sweet Purple. I included my daughter in this review since hey, it is for kids! Up first is Sweet Purple.

image

image

As you can see it’s a very pretty purple with shimmer. I did my nails normally to see how it would work for me as an adult, meaning, I used my normal POBC, and topcoat. The only thing with this is because it isn’t normal nail polish clean up with acetone didn’t quite work well. Any big clean up spots I found I could peel off and then get the finer pieces with my acetone brush.

Due to the nature of the product there was dried polish in the top of the bottle and it ended up having just a few chunky bits in it, but nothing overwhelming. The polish dries super fast with no smell at all, opaque in 2-3 coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Play Laugh Love Sweet Purple, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

image

My daughter’s blogging premiere! She was way to excited to be working with Mommy on her blog. With her application I just put the nail polish on, no topcoat, since that kind of defeats the purpose. As you can see it’s still sparkly just with not as much of a gloss finish. I’ll post an update on my Instagram on how it held up on her, but she does chew her fingers and is rough on polish, since she is 6. She liked it a lot because it dried so quickly. Dry time is always an issue with her since she wants to get up and go, but it wasn’t nearly as bad with this polish. Opacity with this one was two coats.

Products used: Play Laugh Love Really Teally Fun

image

Here we are together, my favorite shot of the entire review! In the end, I think this polish is an amazing product for someone looking for a natural polish, or kids. I will absolutely use this on my daughter again, me, probably not. Not that the product is bad, at all, I just didn’t like clean up for myself, but I hope to pick up more colors for my daughter in the future and phase out her normal polish. Living Dead Lacquer: Ultron Trio

Standard

These beauties will be releasing tomorrow, 4/24/15. Living Dead Lacquer is a newer indie brand with great quality polish, plus the owner, Hilarie, is super nice as well and a nice owner is always awesome to see!  All three polishes dried quickly with no smudging. Up first I have Mark XLIII, inspired by Iron Man.

image

image

image

As you can see Mark XLIII is a beautiful shimmery red with small gold hexes. I used three coats, but opacity could be reached at two to three coats, depending on how think you put it on.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Living Dead Lacquer Mark XLIII, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Super Soldier, inspired by Captain America. This polish can look almost black on your nail but has this wonderful flash of navy when you move your fingers around. It’s very beautiful in person, and probably my favorite of the set. It has small red and silver glitters throughout as well too. Opacity in two to three coats, I did three here.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Living Dead Lacquer Super Soldier, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

If you haven’t tried this brand yet I highly recommend it. Her shop reopens tomorrow for launch along with some other new products and mystery polishes. All info for the shop is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Fangirl Polish: Everything is Awesome! Collection

Standard

Today I have the entire Everything is Awesome! Collection from Fangirl Polish. Sorry I haven’t been posting as much, life got kind of busy! Anywho, this beautiful collection was inspired by The Lego Movie! Her son even helped her work on it, which I find adorable and, well, awesome. This is a six part set, so let’s get to it.

image

First up is Face of Yellow, a bright fun yellow jelly. Inspiration is obviously the iconic lego faces.

image

This polish is super squishy, but reaches opaque easily. This is three coats for this coverage. This polish is perfect for any jelly sandwiches you can come up with.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Face of Yellow, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Up next is Wooooooooo! a beautiful white with subtle shimmer that glows in the dark.

image

image

Look ma, my first gitd shot!  This glows much brighter in person, my camera wasn’t having an easy time picking it up. It was once again three thin coats for opacity and dry time was excellent, as it is with all her polishes.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Wooooooooo!, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Up next is this beautiful blue, Spaceship!, a holo filled jelly.

image

This color could definitely work in a space themed sandwich, which is appropriate with the name. I may have to do one myself down the line. For this opacity three coats were used.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish  Spaceship!, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is This is my Jam, a metallic silver with small fine holo glitter.

image

I adore the sparks of holo in this. There is a lot in the polish, and you can see some of it in the photo. Two coats for opacity with this one.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish This is my Jam, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Wyldstyle a black crelly with blue and pink glitters.

image

You have to look closely to see how packed it is with glitter. It shows off a lot more in person, but it’s like a fun little hidden mystery. Opacity in three coats with excellent dry time.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Wyldstyle, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last but not least is Stay Positive a beautiful pink with pink glitters and fine holo.

image

This is a beautiful shade of pink and the glitters just add to that. Opacity in three coats, awesome dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Stay Positive, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Another great collection from one of my favorite brands. They are all in stock now and can be purchased individually or as a set for a discount. She also just started a cool new thing of a one shot polish that releases every Wednesday. It’s available for a week or until it sells out, whichever happens first. Regal Ween Lacquer: Middle Earth Part 1

Standard

Today I have the recently released Middle Earth Part 1 set from Regal Ween Lacquer. This is a five part set that is inspired by different locations from the Lord of the Rings world. I did stamping inspired by each theme of the polish too! Up first is Minas Tirith.

image

Minas Tirith is a metallic white inspired by the capitol city of Gondor of the same name. It has a subtle shift of color blue, purple, gold  or cyan with some scattered holo in the mix.

image

image

image

image

I did brickwork and a castle for the great fort of Minas Tirith. This polish is beautiful. The formula was great, two to three coats for opacity. Dry time was also in par with her other polishes.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Minas Tirith, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Zoya Ling used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and Hehe plate 026.

image

Rohan is inspired by the golden grasses of the fields of this city. It is a golden brown creme with gold holo dust. This also can used for stamping, which you will see later.

image

image

image

image

This beautiful, unique, polish is great, two coats for opacity, great formula and dry time. Clean up was easy as well.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rohan, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Ruby White Tips Kurt used for stamping with Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 and BM-615.

image

This is The Shire, a vibrant green inspired by Frodo’s home. A shimmering green that can flash gold or purple.

image

image

image

image

I used Rohan for stamping here. I wanted a subtle tree look, but not to overpower the green and it was perfect for the job. It was opaque in two coats, and I feel this one is a stunner. Dry time was great, same with the formula.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer The Shire, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Rohan used for stamping with Moyou London Mother Nature Plate 01.

image

This is Mount Doom, inspired by the burning fires of the mountain and the cold metal armor of Sauron’s army. It is a blacked base with red and purple tones and a chameleon shift and scattered holo.

image

image

image

image

This has a lot of depth to it, it like a little mystery in a bottle. I really love this one a lot. Opaque in two coats and great formula and dry time with no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Mount Doom, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat. Sinful Colors Gold Medal used for stamping with Moyou London Geek 05.

image

Rivendell is inspired by the beauty of the elven city it is named after. It has green, mint, gold, holo white, iridescent and brown glitters, as well as multicolored illusion flakes in a clear base. It can be used as a topper or layered to opacity.

image

image

image

I did one to two coats on each color from the collection. Regal Ween Lacquer has some of the best glitter toppers on the market, they are packed and you don’t have to fish for anything. Formula is great, fast dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Regal Ween Lacquer Rivendell, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

It’s no secret that Regal Ween Lacquer is one of my favorite brands, and they didn’t disappoint with this new collection. Even though I only stamped with one of the colors, I’m sure all of them will stamp. I’ve used some of her other colors from previous collections for stamping so it’s safe to say any non glitter polish will stamp from them. All info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Jior Couture Press Package

Standard

I recently recieved a press package from Jior Couture with three polishes for swatch/review. Jior Couture is a new to me brand so I was excited to try them out. I was sent This Is So Tinsel, January 2015 and February 2015. With no further ado, let’s get to it!

image

First up is This Is So Tinsel, a gray crelly with blue, orange, gold and turquoise glitter. This is apart of their 2014 Holiday Collection and was inspired by the short film Prep and Landing.

image

image

image

As you can see, there are plenty of glitters in this one. I used three coats for opacity, but you could totally use one coat as a topper. Formula was awesome with no fishing and dried relatively quickly.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture This Is So Tinsel, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Up next is January 2015, their color of the month from January of course. It’s a dark salmon color with gold flakes.

image

image

image

The gold flakes are very subtle on the nail, but still beautiful. I used two coats for opacity. Formula was a breeze to work with and dry time was good.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture January 2015, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, and my favorite out of the three, is February 2015. This is a holo glitter packed pink perfection. The glitters kind of hide but when they show it gives the polish a whole other dimension.

image

image

image

As you can see, this one is an absolutely beauty. I did three coats for opacity, formula was great with good dry time. This is a great addition to any pink lovers collection.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Jior Couture February 2015, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall, the polishes I was sent were great. None of them were hard to clean up or had any smudging problems. I’m excited to see more of their upcoming Spring Collection, it looks to die for! All info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Liquid Sky Lacquer

Standard

I have seven polishes that I was sent for review by Liquid Sky Lacquer, a new to me brand. Most of these have been out, but I also have the brand new limited edition, Pinch Proof, a St Paddy’s Day polish. This is a very picture heavy post with all the polishes, but definitely worth it.

image

Pinch Proof is a beautiful green polish with extreme holo and multiple sized glitters.

image

image

image

A very beautiful polish, that has an amazing formula and excellent dry time. Definitely a perfect St Paddy’s polish, I did three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Pinch Proof, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Black Magic Leprechaun is a black jelly with green shimmer and large clover glitters.

image

image

image

The clovers weren’t as hard as some other polishes I’ve used with large glitters, but letting the polish sit upside down before application is definitely helpful. The polish felt a bit thicker on this one, but nothing bad. Dry time was pretty good, I did 3-4 coats on each nail.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Black Magic Leprechaun, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Wink ^.~ is an extreme bluish green holo and very beautiful.

image

image

image

This polish is absolutely gorgeous. It has a slight shift to it among the holo. Formula was great, excellent dry time and opaque in three coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Wink ^.~, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Black Opal is another extreme holo. This one is black with a strong purple shift, which was hard to capture on camera. This one definitely has more dimensions in person.

image

image

image

The dry time was excellent, formula was great and I did three coats for opacity. I probably could of left it at two, but I wanted to be extra safe.

Products used: Qtica Nail Growth, Orly Bonder basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Black Opal, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

King’s Cake is another limited edition. This one is a deep purple jelly with green, gold and purple holographic glitters of different shapes throughout.

image

image

image

This one has a lot of glitter in it, which made the formula feel thicker. It was almost like working with a glitterbomb. Dry time was really good, and I did three coats for opacity. This one would be great used as a topper to, I used it on its own.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer King’s Cake, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Atlantis is a deep blue jelly with neon yellow, pink, orange and purple glitters and a smidge of holo dust.

image

image

image

I love the uniqueness of this polish. It really is different than anything I’ve seen. As with all the others, dry time was good, great formula, and three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Atlantis, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, but definitely not least, is Bird Of Paradise, a multichrome colorshift polish. It has blue, copper, orange, purple and a few other colors in it.

image

image

image

image

I tried to capture the shifty nature of the polish, and really like how it came out. Great formula and dry time with three coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Liquid Sky Lacquer Bird Of Paradise, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I love all of her polishes overall, and they would be a welcomed addition to anyone’s collection. I also love her labels, they made it super easy for swatching and naming all the pictures. All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Fangirl Polish: Mad Love Duo

Standard

I’m a HUGE Harley Quinn and Joker fan, so when Jessica of Fangirl Polish came out with the Mad Love Duo, I had to have it. It was released for Valentine’s, but they are such a classic pair that I feel they’re good all year long. Up first, Puddin’, the Joker inspired part of the duo.

image

Puddin’ is a white crelly with purple and green glitters throughout. I’m a huge purple and green fan to begin with, but it being Joker inspired makes it that much better.

image

image

image

She really chose the perfect shades of purple and green for him as well. The formula was excellent, went on like a dream, and dried super fast, as most of her polishes do. The polish was opaque in two coats, but I put on a third to add just a hint more glitter.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish Puddin’, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next we have HARRLEEY! the Harley Quinn part of the duo. If you’ve ever watched Batman The Animated Series, you’ll hear that in the Joker’s voice right away.

image

HARRLEEY! is a beautiful red crelly with black and white hexes and black diamond glitters. This is the best Harley inspired polish I’ve ever seen, hands down. I felt like walking around calling my husband Mistah J, and had a strange need for a giant hammer while wearing it. This is going in my core I love group for sure.

image

image

image

I adore this polish, so much. I did have to fish for the diamonds just a bit, but nothing outrageous. The formula was creamy and dreamy, and went on perfectly. Dry time was excellent, and it was opaque in two coats.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Fangirl Polish HARRLEEY!, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my favorite purchases lately and I have some fun ideas for these two in the near future. Keep an eye on my Instagram for those. All links to the store are below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

My Kinda Color: New Sparkly Collection

Standard

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen my posts about how my whole family got super sick. We’re on the mend, and I figured I’d get a post done! Today I have the new Sparkly Collection from My Kinda Color, one of which was named after me! They are all glitter bombs that have a colored glitter and holo glitter. They’re all magnificent as well. On to the swatches!

image

This is Jessica, a blue and holo glitter bomb. It can be used as a topper or opaque at three coats.

image

image

image

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Jessica, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Sassy, a purple and holo glitter bomb, opacity at three coats.

image

image

image

As you can see, Sassy has a larger glitter than Jessica, so it changes the way the color lays, just a little bit.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Sassy, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

This is Flirty, a pink/fuchsia and holo glitter bomb, opacity in three coats.

image

image

image

Flirty has the largest glitter out of the bunch, but I really liked how they weren’t all the same.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Flirty, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

image

Last, but not least, this is Morgan, the one named after me! Green is one of my favorite colors, so I was honored when Patty asked if she could use my name for it.

image

image

image

Morgan has a finer glitter just like Jessica, but with both you can see the holo along with the colors.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, My Kinda Color Morgan, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

I loved all of the colors and polishes in this collection. They had awesome dry times and no smudging at all. If you haven’t checked this brand out yet, you really should. All her polishes are only $5 with very reasonable shipping. All info for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Ruby White Tips: Batworld.org Release

Standard

I have three new releases from Ruby White Tips Batworld.org series. If you’re new to this brand, she has a line of polishes that benefit the bats housed and cared for at Bat World Sanctuary. These release today! First up I have Sticky.

image

Sticky is a flakie topper, I used it over black and a dark purple, I’m going to use it over a lighter color in the future and post it on Instagram.

image

image

It’s kind of an orange, copper, pink color depending on what angle you look at it. As with all Ruby White Tips application was great and dry time was excellent.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Zoya Lael, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have another glitter topper, this time red, named Bootsanna.

image

image

image

image

As you can see there are also some silver holo glitters amoung the red. The accent nail is twocoats, while the rest are one. Great formula, with great dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Kleptomaniac, Ruby White Tips Bootsanna,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Last but not least is Mildred, a beautiful blue that can be used as a topper, but very easily obtains opacity in two to three coats.

image

image

image

image

I would say this is a very glitter packed jelly, that went on like a dream. As with the other two polishes, great dry time, excellent formula and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Mildred, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.
