Ruby White Tips: Batworld.org Release

Standard

I have three new releases from Ruby White Tips Batworld.org series. If you’re new to this brand, she has a line of polishes that benefit the bats housed and cared for at Bat World Sanctuary. These release today! First up I have Sticky.

image

Sticky is a flakie topper, I used it over black and a dark purple, I’m going to use it over a lighter color in the future and post it on Instagram.

It’s kind of an orange, copper, pink color depending on what angle you look at it. As with all Ruby White Tips application was great and dry time was excellent.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Zoya Lael, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have another glitter topper, this time red, named Bootsanna.

As you can see there are also some silver holo glitters amoung the red. The accent nail is twocoats, while the rest are one. Great formula, with great dry time and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Kleptomaniac, Ruby White Tips Bootsanna,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Last but not least is Mildred, a beautiful blue that can be used as a topper, but very easily obtains opacity in two to three coats.

I would say this is a very glitter packed jelly, that went on like a dream. As with the other two polishes, great dry time, excellent formula and no smudging.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat, Ruby White Tips Mildred, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

This is one of my top brands because of the consistent quality and beauty Laura puts in to every bottle. All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Simply Beautiful: Mistletoe Juice & Lilly Review

Standard

Today I have two polishes from a new to me brand, Simply Beautiful. I’ve been eying her beautiful polishes for a while and was happy to receive a surprise press sample in the mail.  First up I have Mistletoe Juice,  which is currently being reformulated and brought back out.

image

It’s a beautiful red glitter with holo. You can use it as a topper, or reach opacity with some good layering. It took me 4 coats to reach opacity, but, I’m certain someone with a little more experience would get it in less.

image

image

image

It’s absolutely beautiful.  I didn’t have any drying problems, even with a lot of coats. Clean up was very easy, especially for a polish with fine glitter.  A lot of times I have issues with the glitter not wanting to let go of my skin, but didn’t have that issue at all with this one. Even though this is named Mistletoe Juice I did a little Valentineish stamping on top.

image

I did it very light to not take away from the glory of the dazzling glitter, I really like how it turned out.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Mistletoe Juice,  I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Up next I have Lilly, apart of the Friends & Family collection that’s being added to.

This just jumps off the nail and practically glows. I wore it out and got several compliments on it. It’s definitely a beautiful shade of blue. I did have some dragging with the polish, it felt a little thick, but it wasn’t so horrible that I couldn’t even it out. Once I put top coat on you couldn’t even tell.  The color is definitely worth any slight formula issues in my opinion. This is two coats for opacity.

Products used: Dainty Digits Polish Glitter Be Gone basecoat,  Simply Beautiful Lilly, I, A.M CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

Overall I say that this indie is a win, and if you haven’t tried her products you should! All information for the store is below, and as always, thanks for reading! ^_^

Fangirl Polish: War of Conquest & The Long Night Review

Standard

Today I have another new brand, Fangirl Polish, for your viewing pleasure.  Her first collection is based on the Game of Thrones book/tv series.  I’m covering two of the colors in this review and will have the rest coming in the next few weeks.  War of Conquest is a beautiful red polish with tons of sparkle.  It’s theme is the Targaryen family and their war in Westeros.

image

The Long Night is a dark gray with silver sparkle, based on a winter, before the Targaryen war, that lasted an entire generation.

image

Both polishes are beautiful and applied evenly and well.  I used three thin coats of each color, but you totally could of went with two.

I also decided to do something fun with this polish, and did what I like to call a nerdicure!  All plates used are from Bundle Monster.

I really love this up and coming brand, and the owner, Jessica, is a total sweetheart!  She is constantly having sales, just make sure you follow her Instagram for all updates!

Products used: Duri Revacote, Orly Bonder basecoat,  Fangirl Polish War of Conquest & The Long Night,  I, A.M. CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

MTL Creations: Fall Collection Review

Standard

I got to swatch for MTL Creations recently, for her new Fall Collection, and I’m so excited to show you guys these!  This is a new brand to me, even though I’ve been watching her Instagram since I saw her True Blood inspired collection. She’s an absolute sweetheart, too!  On to the collection!

image

I love all of the colors in this collection.  I’m picky on reds, but I still love Apple Crush

image

image

It’s a gorgeous soft red holo polish.  It’s different than other reds I’ve seen and I really like it!

The next one is Foresta Lumina, look it up on Google to see its inpiration!

image

image

This is a beautiful forest green holo.  Once again,  a unique shade, and very pretty.   I added a fairy stamp because the name and inspiration felt very whimsical to me.

The next one I have for you is Once In a Blue Moon, a beautiful deep blue holo.

image

image

This is the one I still have on writing this post.  It’s beautiful and it hasn’t chipped even a little.  I used a sheer white color to stamp a moon and stars to get a silvery sheer look.

Last, but surely not least is Star Dust, a gold fine glitter topper.

image

image

I used it over Zoya Josie, and used two thin coats of the glitter.  Each application had plenty of glitter, with no digging.

All the polishes from this collection applied well, and had excellent dry time. I did three coats of each of the colors, and two of the glitter,  as stated.

Products used: Duri Revacote,  Orly Bonder basecoat,  polish shown, I,A.M. CustomColor DiamondPRO topcoat.

All links to the store are below.  Definitely take a look at all her other beautiful polishes and her crocheted creations.  As always, thanks for reading! ^_^

I,A.M…CustomColor: Zim’s Giant Radioactive Pants Review

Standard

This week I am reviewing I,A.M…CustomColor’s polish inspired by the television show Invader Zim.  This one is called Zim’s Giant Radioactive Pants,  and is a red/orange linear holo. My husband picked this one for me since I couldn’t decide.  Sadly since I purchased this color it has been discontinued, at least for now.  She does still have a few colors left inspired from the series here.  A lot of items in her shop are currently on sale, so I would definitely recommend looking through all of it, plus shipping is included. She has many other products besides polish too, like bath products and makeup.  Now on to the packaging!

image

The packaging was super adorable.  As soon as I took these pictures my 5 year old daughter stole the pipe cleaner, bag and mustache ring.  I’m going to do a review on the eyeshadows as well at some point, my allergies were just kicking my butt this week.  Everything was wrapped nicely and arrived safe and in a timely manner.

image

Top left is in shade, below it is with flash and to the right is in direct sunlight.   I went with a simple theme to not hide all the glorious holo shine.  I used green rhinestones for Zim/Gir and stars for outerspace, since they are aliens. ^_^  I love how much holo is packed into this polish.  It screams out sparkles in person.  The polish was a great consistency, dried quickly and was opaque in two coats.  Products used for this mani was a layer of Duri Rejuvacode, Orly Bonder, 2 coats of the polish and ellagee’s Glass Topcoat. Now it’s time for the macro shots.

image

image

I did two macros this time just because this one needed some showing off.  Both were taken under LED light to show holo.

I absolutely love this polish, and everything about it.  No complaints at all.  I’m hoping to pick a few more up from the remaining Zim themed polishes when I can.  Definitely check out her whole shop, once again it’s I,A.M…CustomColor.  Thanks for reading. ^_^
